Counseling Services

  counseling services

Counseling, support, and education for children, families and couples.

Program Description: Mental Health Program

Children's Services:

The mental health program provides counseling and case management to children. Services are provided at various schools, Family Resource Centers, and other community locations throughout Stanislaus County. Medication services are available through our collaboration with Stanislaus County BHRS. We offer assessment and treatment for mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, behavioral disorders and more.

We offer case management services to link families with community resources as well as helping to teach skills for behavior change. Our Parent Mentors offer support and education to parents/caregivers as well as advocacy and assistance with education.

Our counseling services are provided by experienced masters level Licensed Marriage Family Therapist or interns in that process, as well as masters level Associate Clinical Social Workers.

This program is focused on children ages 5-21 who are covered by Medi-Cal or Healthy Families Insurance.

Adult/Community Counseling:

CHS has a community counseling clinic that provides counseling to any community member based on their income level. Services include individual, group, family, and couples counseling. We currently offer anger management, anxiety and depression groups.

The services are available at 1700 McHenry Village Way, Suite 14 in Modesto (209-526-1440), as well as at our West Side Family Resource Center at 811 N. Second Street in Patterson (209-892-6688).

Managed Care:

Our collaboration with Stanislaus County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services offers adults with Medi-Cal insurance groups specific to anxiety, depression, anger management, and a special Women's Coping with Relationships group. We also provide a coping and support group for developmentally disabled adults.

Assessments are provided by Stanislaus County and referrals are made directly to the group. Call 1-888-376-6246 to request an assessment.
