I AM Project 2017-09-15T00:11:40+00:00

I AM is a multi-media project highlighting the stories of Center for Human Services clients, staff and supporters. The central theme starts with the statement “I AM . . .”

We are CHS

The I AM project will visually tell the story of our growth and strength through photos, video and exhibit.  Portraits and video of participants will be captured in response to the prompt “I AM . . ”  with words they have selected as statements of positivity and strength.  Ex. I AM brave. I AM in recovery.  I AM a dad.  We are human, it’s what connects us all.  Together we are CHS.

Our Process

ONE:  Photos
Our photographer, Justin Souza of Photos Just So, captured portraits and personal stories of 20 participants.  These photos will be featured in an exhibit.

TWO: Video
Our videographer, Brian Zarka of El Nido Productions, is creating a “Making of” video with behind the scenes footage from the photoshoot.  He will also record in depth interviews with several participants.

THREE: Exhibit
An exhibit unveiling and opening reception will be on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 from 5:30-7 p.m. at Deva Cafe at 1202 J Street in downtown Modesto. We invite you to celebrate with us! Come meet the faces and hear the voices of CHS. You’ll have the chance to see the exhibit at Deva Cafe through the month of August.
