Fundraising Strategies

Program Description
Fundraising supports the mission of Center for Human Services through the implementation of sound fundraising practices that bring unrestricted dollars through donor contributions, corporate sponsorships, grant awards and foundation partnerships from our community.
Activities in this area include Special events such as the Edible Extravaganza and Children First Distinguished Leadership Awards Dinner. Direct Mail campaigns, Planned Giving, Grant Writing, Cause Related Marketing, Major Donor campaigns and more.
Community involvement is key to the continued success of CHS. This aim is the fundamental reason behind our Board of Trustees' development. They are both a philanthropic and influential group of community volunteers who have helped to organize numerous events and fundraisers for the benefit of CHS. Their latest endeavor, the “Opening Doors Campaign” plans to raise $1 million dollars for CHS in unrestricted funding toward current operating needs and for the initial funding of an agency endowment. Since 1970 CHS has survived by managing their grant and contract resources well, but in order to place the agency, its programs and the people CHS serves onto a solid foundation for the coming years, this endowment opportunity for CHS has been established.
Marketing provides for increased visibility and brand awareness in the community through innovative and effective marketing strategies that allow us to share our vision, our history, and current program services.
