Westside Community Alliance

Program Description

We envision a community-based center of integrated services, designed to promote self-sufficiency and community ownership. Services will be non-discriminating and culturally sensitive. The ultimate goal is to strengthen families by providing education, health, employment training, child care, and social services. The realization of this vision will ensure developing each family's capacity to help themselves and to contribute to their community.

 

Eligibility

  • All individuals are eligible for W.C.A. services.


  • Walk-ins are welcome.

Program Description

The Patterson Family Resource Center is a “One Stop” Family Resource Center providing a variety of services to Westside Residents. 

Eligibility

  • Families with children ages 0-5.

  • Must be a resident of Western Stanislaus County.

  9. School Readiness - literacy kit check out, Kinder Bound classes, and Ages and Stages screenings


  10. Assessments - Strength Based Needs Assessment, Burns Depression Inventory Assessment

Grayson Westley Family Resource Center

Program Description

Grayson Westley Family Resource Center is located at Grayson Elementary School in Westley. Center for Human Services is the fiscal agent for this Family Resources Center (FRC) and also provides capacity building support.

 

Eligibility

  • Families with children ages 0-5


Services

Information/resources and referral health insurance enrollment, food stamp enrollment, development screenings, translation, case management.

Programs Offered

  1. School Readiness: Parents as Teachers, Lending Library, Latino Family Literacy, Kinder Academy


  2. Healthy Birth Outcomes: Amor de Mamá/A Mother's Love, Baby Garden


  3. Support groups: Parent Coffee, Women's group, Circle of Men

Patterson Teen Center

Program Description

The CHS Patterson Teen Center is located at 118 N. 2nd Street in the heart of downtown Patterson. The program staff provide positive after-school activities for teens in the Patterson community at a fun and safe "drop in" site for youth. Youth attending the Teen Center can also participate in activities that build their life skills and developmental assets. These activities include: tutoring, homework, assistance, access to a computer lab, community service opportunities, event planning, youth leadership training, recreational activities, job skills development, educational fieldtrips and sports and more.

  • Youth ages 12-17
