Center for Human Services (CHS), your local nonprofit, has helped over half a million people throughout Stanislaus County over the past 45 years. We serve children, families and individuals each year by providing quality treatment for mental health and addiction issues, shelter and educational services and connection to resources in our community.
WE RELY ON YOUR SUPPORT.
We rely on contributions to help with services not covered by other funding sources. With your help, we can serve more children, more families, and make our community a better place to live.
How your Support Helps
Here is a list of goods and services that can be purchased with your donation:
- Food and clothing for youth at Hutton House and Pathways
- Scholarships for Parent Education Classes
- Formula & diapers for families at our Family Resource Centers
- Counseling services for individuals and families through our community counseling program
- Personal care items for youth at Hutton House and Pathways
- Gasoline for the Center’s vehicles to transport clients to medical appointments, counseling sessions, home visits and support meetings
Ways to Give
Throughout the year, Center for Human Services conducts various special fundraising campaigns and events in addition to our ongoing Annual Campaign. Learn more about our campaigns and giving programs below.
More Ways to Give
Make a Memorial Gift – A memorial gift is a donation made as a tribute to a person who has passed away. Such gifts honor a life well lived and greatly benefit CHS.
Make an In-Kind Donation – Your gift of time and talents helps CHS continue to do the work of helping youth and families throughout Stanislaus County. An In-Kind Donations (instead of giving money to purchase needed goods and services, the goods and services are themselves given) are always welcomed. If you have goods or services you can donate to CHS, we’d love to talk to you. Here is our most updated Needs List.
We kindly ask that you call to make an appointment to drop off In-Kind Donations (clothes, home goods, etc). We don’t have adequate storage to take things we don’t have an immediate need for. Your cooperation is so appreciated. Contact the Development Department for more information.
Host a Beneficiary Event – Make us an event beneficiary and help to support youth and families in Stanislaus County.
