Center for Human Services (CHS) is proud to announce the recipients of the 2012 Children First Distinguished Leadership Award as the Matt and Barbara Bruno Family! The Children First Award was created in 2000 to honor people in our community who support services for children and families in Stanislaus County at extraordinary levels. The Bruno family’s innovative leadership, philanthropy and volunteerism exemplify the qualities this award was meant to honor. We invite you to join CHS in paying tribute to their good works.
Our community experienced a great loss in September, 2011 when Matt Bruno passed away. Not only was Matt Bruno a leader in the dairy construction field but he was also the supporter of countless non-profits, individuals and community causes. Many will forever remember Matt as a friend and confidant. He touched the lives of many and will always be appreciated for his generosity and kindness.
“Through our relationship with the Bruno Family, it is clear that Matt’s generosity extends far beyond his own contributions and good works. His family, Barbara, Mathew and Natalie, Tony and Gretta and their children, continue to demonstrate the same level of kindness, charity and community involvement,” stated CHS’ Director of Fund Development, Monica Ojcius.
The Bruno Family gives back to the community in many ways; each of them are engaged in critical work, supporting needed projects and organizations throughout our community; the Education Foundation of Stanislaus County, Center for Human Services, Memorial Medical Foundation, Miracle League, Modesto Rotary and Omega Nu, just to name a few.
It is Center for Human Services great pleasure to honor the Bruno Family through the Children First Distinguished Leadership Award this year. Their contribution to our community cannot be measured and we look forward to watching Matt’s wife, children and grandchildren follow passionately in his footsteps.
