Kate Trompetter, Center for Human Services’ Director of Marketing and Public Relations, is being honored as one of the 2014 OUTSTANDING Women of Year in Stanislaus County by the Stanislaus County Commission for Women.
From the Modesto Bee:
“Kate, director of marketing and public relations for the Center for Human Services, once told a friend that she has “an uncontrollable desire to be invested in bettering our community in as many ways as possible.” Kate has a unique talent to connect people who have funds or items to donate with those who have a need. She also inspires others to community service. She once told her dad that she wanted to be like the late Bette Belle Smith, who was her friend and mentor. That conversation inspired a Modesto Rotary program honoring Bette Belle and her many achievements, and the Great Valley Center offering leadership training classes to nonprofit board members. Kate is a founding member of the annual Bette Belle Smith Day of Service, where people volunteer their time to serve the less fortunate in our community. She is a Modesto Art Museum board member and on the City of Modesto Culture Commission.”
