Center for Human Services (CHS) provides Drug and Alcohol treatment for youth and adults in Stanislaus County.  Last Fall we worked with students of Video and Time Based Media at California State University, Stanislaus to create a mini-documentary featuring personal stories from substance abuse counselors working at CHS.

We believe positive change is possible through treatment.

“Someone said they believed in me and that stuck with me. The seed was planted for me to start making positive changes in my life.”

Austin Gunter, Substance Abuse Counselor, 7 years, 7 months sober

“Almost every day something joyful is happening for me, not just with my own sobriety, but also waking up each day with the willingness to help someone trying to do the same thing.”

Mike Greenlee, Program Coordinator and Substance Abuse Counselor, 22 years sober
