With David Folly
CHS Donor & Board President

The Beard Family and their companies have been in the community for over 100 years and through six generations have built a great legacy of giving and service. David Folly is the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Beard.

Q: What motivates you to give back to your community?

David: Well, simply put, I live and work here and enjoy contributing to the betterment of our community. Professionally, I feel very fortunate to work for a company that values service in so many ways, whether it’s to the community, to its customers, to its employees and to its shareholders.

Q: Why do you support CHS?

David: The values and the mission just resonate with me. Really, who wouldn’t want to get behind an organization whose mission is to change lives, build futures and strengthen families.

Q: What upcoming CHS plans are you excited about?

David: I’m excited about the Behavioral Health Outpatient Center which is going to be completed in the middle of 2025. It’s going to add to the depth of services CHS already provides and increase the number of youth who can be reached.

Q: What would you tell someone new about CHS?

David: CHS has been serving the Modesto area and Stanislaus County for over 50 years in various capacities. Throughout that time the agency has built a fantastic team. Over the years they’ve had motivated, professional, compassionate and empathetic team players. I’ve always been impressed with how the organization has been managed and how committed the team is to the cause.

Q: Why does Beard support Edible Extravaganza?

David: It’s the signature event for CHS, 38 years and counting. Beard has been a presenting sponsor for a few years and really looks forward to a great event each year. We love it!

Q: How does Beard support the community?

David: Beard is involved in many community events whether it’s in support of local philanthropy and nonprofit organizations or in support of local arts and education; Beard continues its legacy of giving. It is part of the company mission and we live that mission.

Q: What impact do you hope to make through your support of CHS?

David: I hope to see CHS continue its services for another 50 years or more, through the support of all its donors and sponsors.
