We provide counseling and case management services to adults, children and their families. Services are provided at the various school sites throughout Stanislaus County, as well as CHS Family Resource Centers and our Community Counseling Clinic.
Children’s Counseling Services
CHS provides counseling services to children (ages 3-21) at select school districts through the Integrated Mental Health Program (IMHP). IMHP provides mental health treatment and case management services to students who meet Tier 3 criteria and/or who have a mental health diagnosis impairing functioning. All students who meet medical necessity for treatment can access IMHP services regardless of insurance.
CHS also provides counseling services to children (ages 3-21) who have Medi-cal and qualify for Specialty Mental Health Services at select regions in Stanislaus County. Services are provided at schools and Family Resource Centers. We offer assessment, therapy, case management and medication services.
Our counseling services are provided by experienced Masters-level Licensed Marriage Family Therapists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers and Registered Associates or trainees (Registered Associate MFT, Registered Associate Clinical Social Workers, Registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselors).

Community Counseling Program
Our Community Counseling Clinic provides counseling services for individuals, groups, families, and couples. Services are offered at various CHS sites and school sites throughout Stanislaus County.
Eligibility & Fees
Counseling services are available for children and their families in Stanislaus County, who have Medi-Cal. Adults with Medi-Cal must be members of Health Plan of San Joaquin or Health Net.
Adults and children without Medi-Cal can receive services at our clinic for a fee based on income and number of dependents. Proof of income is required.
Adult Support Group Services
Center for Human Services provides adult support group services for anxiety and depression, and anger management. These support groups occur in 12-week cycles to completion.
Program Description
Adult Group Services are provided in our Community Clinic on a sliding fee scale. Groups include Adult Anger Management, Anxiety and Depression. An assessment is required prior to attending any group.
Groups range in size with a maximum of 8 members attending and are held weekly.

Must be 18 years of age or older
Cost
Fees are determined by a sliding scale based on income and the number of household members. Proof of income is required.

How to Verify Our Licensing Status for Behavioral Health
To ensure transparency and compliance, we encourage members, families, and community partners to verify our licensing and certification status through the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS). The DHCS website offers public access to licensing and certification information for both Mental Health (MH) and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) services.
Behavioral Health (Mental Health) Services
Facilities such as Mental Health Rehabilitation Centers (MHRC), Psychiatric Health Facilities (PHF), and others are regulated under the Mental Health Licensing and Certification (MHLC) Branch. Check status at data.chhs.ca.gov. Note: Only programs that are currently licensed or certified by DHCS will appear in the directory.
