The OPTIONS – Juvenile Diversion Program added Youth Court to its menu of services.  This program involved first-time youth offenders who had committed a misdemeanor crime and volunteered to have their case heard by a jury of their peers.  Cases were heard in an actual courtroom and presided over by an adult judge. Directives handed down by the peer jury included community service, restitution or counseling.
